Interested in Spring 2027 Practice & Play? Complete the Player ID interest form. WGSC will follow up with program information, Open Play opportunities and next steps.

Completing the form does not obligate a family to participate or guarantee placement.

​

WGSC will consider age eligibility, program readiness, family commitment, available roster space, coaching coverage and the need to form viable teams. The Director will communicate directly with families before invitations are issued.

​

Placement is not strictly first-come, first-served.

 

Open Play schedule

Open Play will be held on the following Wednesdays:

  • September 23

  • September 30

  • October 7

  • October 14

  • October 21

  • October 28

Times:

  • U7 and U8 boys: 5:30–6:25 p.m.

  • U7 and U8 girls: 6:30–7:25 p.m.

 

Please clearly distinguish these gender-based Open Play times from the age-based regular Wednesday training schedule.

 

Open Play instructions:

  • Advance completion of the Player ID form is required.

  • No walk-ins.

  • Players should bring a soccer ball.

  • Players should wear shin guards.

  • Tennis shoes or indoor soccer shoes are appropriate.

  • No cleats are permitted.

  • Sessions are indoors in the church gym.

  • The gym doors are on the south side of the building.

  • Parents are welcome to remain and sit in the bleachers.

WGSC PNP Overview

WGSC Practice & Play is a team-based developmental program combining professional Academy training with age-appropriate spring league play.

The program is for:

  • U7 boys and girls: August 2019–July 2020 birthdays

  • U8 boys and girls: August 2018–July 2019 birthdays

​

The program runs from January through May or early June 2027 and includes:

  • Eight Winter 2 Academy sessions

  • Seven Spring Academy sessions

  • Fifteen total Wednesday training sessions

  • Spring SLYSA league play

  • Club registration and administration

​

The program fee is $545 per player.

​

A required Academy uniform kit will be purchased separately through Soccer.com for approximately $75. Taxes and delivery may affect the final kit cost.

​

PNP families will not register separately for Winter 2 or Spring Academy. After official PNP registration, you or the office team will add those players to the appropriate Academy rosters internally.

​

Regular Wednesday training schedule

Session A:

  • 5:30–6:25 p.m.

  • Academy ages 4–7

  • U7 Practice & Play teams train during this session

  • Maximum of 32 total participants

​

Session B:

  • 6:30–7:25 p.m.

  • Academy ages 8–12

  • U8 Practice & Play teams train during this session

  • Maximum of 32 total participants

​

Potential team capacity

The program may accommodate:

  • Up to 16 U7 boys

  • Up to 16 U7 girls

  • Up to 16 U8 boys

  • Up to 16 U8 girls

  • As many as two teams per gender in each age group

  • Two volunteer coaches for each team

​

U7 and U8 teams playing 4v4 require a minimum roster of eight players. A U8 team playing 7v7 should have approximately 10 players.

When needed to create a viable playing opportunity, U8-and-younger teams may combine boys and girls and enter the applicable boys division.

​

These are maximum capacities. The actual number and composition of teams will depend on player commitments, coaching availability, training space and league placement.

A team invitation may be delayed until we have at least one confirmed head coach and a credible second-coach candidate. Each completed team will ultimately require two coaches.
