Team Information

The club is primarily for players living within the Webster Groves School District boundaries. We also welcome players from the communities and schools contiguous to Webster Groves. Our programming is an ideal fit for the families who live, work, and play in the South-Central communities surrounding Webster Groves.

Season Timeline

Tryout sessions typically occur in the Spring, Summer, and Fall. We then break to allow the athletes to participate in the regular CYC league in the fall. Open tryouts resume in the Fall to fill out each team's roster.

Upon the conclusion of the CYC league, we begin our season with a November-February indoor or futsal session, outdoor and indoor training, and fundraising efforts.

From March-early June we then play in a spring SLYSA (St. Louis Youth Soccer Association) outdoor league. Typically teams participate in two tournaments (indoor and/or outdoor tournaments).

In addition to the match schedule, training sessions throughout the year (November-May) will be held twice weekly.

Training Sessions

Teams will train weekly on the turf at SLUH (a short 12-minute drive from Webster Groves) and in gym space near the Webster Groves area or outdoors in the late spring at Lutheran South HS (a 10-12 minute drive from Webster Groves). Our players consistently train during the winter months when other teams and clubs often shut down.

Uniforms

Using the My Uniform system for ordering, parents will be able to order the required New Balance customized pieces for each season (e.g., Long Sleeve black uniform, Short sleeve orange and white uniforms, black shorts, and one pair of black socks plus one pair of white socks, plus ordering a sponsor supplied training shirt); this is also an opportunity for families to order replacement pieces, and order optional items (balls, bags, customized warm-up pants and jackets) for direct fulfillment by Soccer Master.

Parents pay for shipping and taxes in exchange for direct delivery of customized orders, with the support of Soccer Master's team sales/customer service departments. The "all-in" cost for the customized kit including taxes and delivery is projected to be approximately $200. The additional costs associated with the optional ordering of a bag, warm up pants and jackets or extra shorts and socks would add to this total cost.

We aim to get 2-3 seasons with a base customized uniform kits subject to manufacturer turnover of styles and inventory available. The 2024-2025 season is slated to be the transition season into our new kits. Uniform numbers are assigned by the club scheme based on odd and even birth years.

Timing of Team Uniform Ordering:

Fall Teams: Regarding uniform ordering, new players and returning players on WGSC teams electing to play in the Fall SLYSA season must have their base uniform kits, optional pieces, or replacement pieces ordered by June 30th.

Spring Teams: For new players and returning players on WGSC teams returning to play in November, all base uniform kits, optional pieces, or replacement pieces must be ordered by September 15th.

Players who register with WGSC after September 15th should be added to the My Uniforms ordering system by their coach or manager or the club office; these new players must order their uniforms as soon as possible. It may take up to 4-6 weeks for fulfillment of these one-off orders.

Fanwear

Team fanware stores for online ordering are made available for family and friends to order items in support of their favorite club team in October and January annually.
