Who: Individual athletes or pre-formed recreation teams (school/CYC) seeking a weekly indoor match that is convenient to their academy or team practice schedules and fall competition schedule. 

 

What: WGSC In-House Rec Soccer includes a pre-season Kickaround Tourney of 3 x 20-minute matches plus 6 "friendlies" over a 7-week period.

 

Where: St. Louis Athletic Center, a premier indoor soccer facility located in Fenton, MO, near the Soccer Park. 

 

When: Friday evenings*. *May be a Saturday morning used based on field availability. Friendlies are usually played between 5 pm and 9 pm.

 

Tentative Schedule:

- 8/25 - KickOff Round Robin (mini-matches)

- Friendlies on 9/8, 9/15, 9/22, 9/29, 10/16, 10/13 or 10/27 

 

Uniforms & Equipment:

Youth athletes will be provided a WGSC tee shirt.  Players are to always wear shin guards. Parent leaders will be issued a "match kit" to be returned at the end of the fall friendlies season.

 

Format: 

44-minute matches (2 x 22-minute halves with 2-minute half)

-2015s (U9) 7 v 7 with min roster of 8 and max roster of 10 & 1-2 parent volunteers

-2016s (U8) 5 v 5 with min roster of 6 and max roster of 8 & 1-2 parent volunteers

-2017s (U7) 5 v 5 with min roster of 6 and max roster of 8 & 1-2 parent volunteers

-2018s (U6) 5 v 5 with min roster of 6 and max roster of 8 & 1-2 parent volunteers

 

Registration Options:

a) Register for the WGSC Academy and add the $60 In-House Soccer fee. 

b) First-time athletes or players already on a rec or CYC team? Register for $75.

c) Have a team & seeking one more day of match-conditions training? Register for the $75 per player.

Note: A designated parent volunteer who completes the MYSA requirements before 9/8 will have 100% of their player registration (max two coaches per team, and a discount applies to one family member's registration) with fees reimbursed after the season ends.
